HAWAII STATE ETHICS COMMISSION
2021 ETHICS TRAINING SCHEDULE
NOTICE OF CANCELLED IN-PERSON ETHICS TRAINING
(Updated 9/30/2020)
Due to health concerns about the COVID-19 virus, the Hawai‘i State Ethics Commission have cancelled all scheduled in-person ethics training sessions. We have added virtual training sessions (see below) that will be conducted over Zoom. If you are interested in a virtual ethics training, please complete our training request form: https://ethics.hawaii.gov/request_training/
Employees on all islands can still obtain ethics training by taking the Commission’s online training program, “Ethics for State Employees.” The online program is available here: https://ethics.hawaii.gov/ethicsonlinetraining/. Additional information about the State ethics laws can also be found on the Commission’s website: https://ethics.hawaii.gov/
The ethics training classes will provide an overview of the state ethics laws that apply to all state employees. Topics will include conflicts of interests; gifts and the reporting of gifts; confidential information; misuse of official position; and post-employment restrictions.
Employees with questions about the ethics laws are encouraged to contact the Commission’s office at (808) 587-0460 or [email protected]. The entire Commission staff is available to assist you via phone or e-mail at any time.
